Childhood Favorite Makes a Comeback, stretching and Bowling Mishaps
Lesson 1: Cheese bread is back baby
When I was younger we would sprinkle cheese over a slice of bread and microwave it for 20 seconds and eat it as a snack. Well, flashforward 12 years to my reunion with cheese bread, and it did not disappoint. I’ve gotten fancier over the years and decided to add a few slices of pepperoni - mmmmmh delicious. It’s becoming a staple snack for sure.
Lesson 2: Don’t skip stretching
I never took time to stretch until this past year and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. It’s legit changed my life. Unfortunately, I let the ball drop on stretching this week and I could tell. My body was stiff, achy and movement hurt my body more. After feeling this way I’m determined to get back on the stretching wagon. I want to feel young and spry again.
Lesson 3: Bowling Lessons are needed
We went bowling this past week with some friends and man, I need to work on my technique. Let’s just say I had more dashes than numbers. It was pretty dismal - minus a few lucky strikes that were straight miracles. Maybe I’m not a lost cause after all.
Gratitude:
Friends: My husband and I were able to make friends after moving into our new apartment and it has completely changed our experience. I’m so grateful they’re in our life and for all the fun times we’ve had.
Sunshine: I think I say this every week but MAN DO I LOVE SUNSHINE!! I’ve been so thankful for sunny days and being able to spend time outdoors
Meditation: It’s a good reminder to not let my thoughts control me and that I get to choose how I react and respond.
Thoughts:
I will choose courage - this doesn’t mean I will not be faced with fear, but when it appears I will choose to be courageous. (How scary and adventurous that sounds)
