A measly Companion, Goodness of Life, And Lacking Courage
1/5/26
Lesson 1: Anxiety is a measly companion sometimes
Unfortunately, my less than pleasant acquaintance, anxiety, you might know her, came for a visit this past week.
For days, my heart was pulled in two different directions, causing the outcome of a simple decision to be blown out of proportion I won’t dive deep or dwell long on the emotions, but this week reminded me of the sometimes paralyzing power of anxiety. In those moments, her companionship leaves much to be desired.
Lesson 2: I live a good life
Multiple times this week, I caught my mind and soul taking a deep breath of awe at what I was experiencing in that moment, amazed at how blessed I am.
My life is not without worry, or the occasional bout of anxiety, as mentioned above, but those moments are overshadowed by uplifting ones It would do me good not to forget that truth.
Lesson 3: Breathe and have courage
As of late, my motivation to be courageous is severely lacking, a feeling I do not enjoy in the slightest.. Life is hard when all your courage is swallowed up and insecurity is left to fill its place.
But, courage is possible. So, here’s to one doing one courageous thing a day!
Gratitude:
A good book: I will forever be grateful for the all consuming grasps of a good book.( Minus the effect it has on my productivity level heheh)
Rain: We don’t get rain often but I love when we do. The overcast skies, absolutely beautiful, and the slow atmosphere it brings is calming to the soul.
People to share life with: People, man. What would life be without our people? I’m grateful my life is full of people that bring joy to my everyday
Notes:
New Year’s resolutions might not be such as taboo as I thought. Although, goals should be started whenever, not pushed off until the start of a new year. There’s new days, new places, new people, new experiences, all perfect excuses to make resolutions
Resolution: A strong personal determination or promise
